Who Deserves Credit?

If you can't give credit when it's due...
Posted: Thursday, July 06, 2006

Here at Heroic Arts, we strive for quality reporting, and fact checking. We don't enter books unless we have them in front of us and can obtain all the facts on them.

But every once in a while we hit a snag. Take this book for instance. An excellent issue of Wolverine... but no credits, not even a title! In the first few pages there are some Asian characters in the posters in the background. I suppose it's possible they are the information I seek... but how am I to know? Like many people in the Western Hemisphere, I do not know how to read Asian languages. So now what?

I'm a smart guy. I've seen and own enough Wolverine comics from this era to make an educated guess on who the credits belong to. But I don't want to, I want to be 100% certain I'm right. Inkers are hard to guess at and often change same with colorists. As for the title of the book, I'm completely out of luck with that!

So, Here I have a book, which I personally own, and my facts on it are incomplete! I don't like this. Our site patrons don't like this.

So to the publishers out there I say, please make sure your credit information is clear. Us hardcore fans want to know!
